Need to Know

Feel free to do as much extra research as you want. It's certainly allowed and even encouraged. But at least read through this carefully and try to get a feel for the atmosphere you're getting into, and be familiar with the history of the guild.
History
The leader of the Blacktooth Grin, Gorfrunch, was one of the many orcs that pillaged Lordaeron during the Second War. Like many other orcs, he too was captured and placed into internment camps. He was freed by Thrall and went on to fight in the Third War, but was disgusted by Thrall's cries for peace afterward and decided to look for his clansmen.
He found them in what had become the new Blackrock Clan. As the Blackrock Orcs became more and more under the influence of the black dragons, Gorfrunch participated in a rebellion under the command of Overlord Taugrek. Taugrek was slain in battle by the dragons, and Gorfrunch took up the mantle of leadership, leading the remaining rebels to form a new base in Dustwallow Marsh. As he fought against Theramore, word of his deeds spread and Trolls, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, and even Forsaken flocked to join his cause.
Bases
Bases that the Grin has used include:
- Tunnels beneath the burned inn in Dustwallow Marsh
- Flame Crest in Burning Steppes A.K.A. Taugrek’s Stand
- Stonard in Swamp of Sorrows
- Stromgarde Keep in Arathi Highlands
- Conquest Hold in Grizzly Hills-This is our current location
Alliances and Enemies
The Blacktooth Grin started a multiple guild alliance called the Dread Horde.
Their main enemies include:
Roleplay Style
Keep in mind we would never tell or mandate to anyone how to play their character. But also realize that the Blacktooth Grin is basically a Warcraft 2 Orc Clan. We embrace anything that gives us more power in battle- Death Knights, Warlocks, Bloodlust. Subsequently, characters will have prejudices against "pansy" blood elves, but remember it's all in good fun. Never take anything that happens in character personally, and remember we're all friends in OOC chat. As long as you and your character will absolutely follow orders during a raid, you will fit in just fine.
Grot
- Grot is a discretionary rank that every new member goes through. Not yet true Grin, a Grot must endure punishment and often servitude to prove they have what it takes to become a Grunt. This rank is intended to test a new member's strength, humility, dedication, loyalty, and ability to follow orders. In addition, all grots must have a backstory written and posted before being promoted to grunt.
